THANKFUL

Lord Jesus, You were not exaggerating when You said living in this fallen world we would have problems and sorrows, (John 16:33). No one is exempt, especially Christ-followers, but here is the good news. For those who have placed their faith in You, and their lives revolve around Your truths, we can take heart and live in peace because You, Jesus. have overcome the world. What does this mean to Christ-followers? You go before us, fighting our battles. Our part is to stay tuned into You more than ever since all who belong to You are in spiritual warfare.

Facing seemingly insurmountable problems, amid sorrows and broken hearts, being oppressed at every turn, reveals my limitations to handle these trials on my own. Scripture plainly describes our struggles in this broken world: all problems originate from our unseen enemy, the spiritual darkness of the devil (Ephesians 6:12). Here is where the devil’s schemes backfire. We can give thanks and praise to God because anything that causes us to run to You Jesus will work for our good, (Romans 8:28). Through You Jesus, we win again.
