Lord, during this holy Advent season, as Your children reflect over the past year, we see Your hand of mercy and grace in our lives. For many, You raised them from their sick bed and restored their health. Others saw Your provision when making ends meet was uncertain and presented a struggle. For some, Your grace was more than sustained them when life’s disappointments shattered their dreams and altered their aspirations. Your Spirit comforted the brokenhearted when they released their loved ones to cross the Jordan to go to You.
Lord, with a grateful heart, today, may I, and all who have found You to be real this year, proclaim as the psalmist did thousands of years ago: “I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; I will speak of Your faithfulness through all generations. I will declare that Your love stands firm forever, that You have established Your faithfulness in Heaven itself” (Psalm 89:1,2).
Lord, in all situations, where uncertainty lurks and our faith is weak, we’re so thankful You never change. You perform Your Word. In Jesus’ name, amen.
