“Your kingdom come, Your will be done.” Lord, You teach me that for Your kingdom to come, I will need to make some changes in my life. Since the precepts of Your kingdom offer grace to the fallen, restoration for the broken, acceptance to the rejected, shouldn’t I also act accordingly to those I interact with in my world? Help me change what needs changing, regardless how inconvenient or even painful it may be. To follow You, I must deny myself, take up my cross, and follow You (Matthew 16:24). The Apostle Paul put it more bluntly: “Those who belong to Christ Jesus have [crucified the flesh] with its passions and desires” (Galatians 5:24) By Your grace and the Holy Spirit’s help, I will not present a false impression of Your kingdom to a skeptical world looking for truth.
Lord Jesus, may my actions and attitude be according to Your will so that Your kingdom may expand in my sphere of influence in this world. Amen.
