Lord, You speak to us at the right time, every time. Paramedics rushed me to the hospital on that chaotic January Sunday morning before I read my daily devotional. For three days I fought to breathe, not knowing which breath would be my last. Covid-19 felt like I had a pallet of cement blocks on my chest and then told to breathe! Jesus, You and I had long conversations during those six days of uncertainty. Several weeks of isolation after being discharged, during my quiet time, which now is 24/7, I read the message for the day I went to the hospital. “Be strong and courageous,” You said. “Do not be afraid or terrified because of them [Covid-19], for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6). Your Spirit reminded me that in my darkest hours, Your protection covered me.
Thank You, Jesus.
