Good morning, Jesus.
Lord, the uncertainties looming over our society cause many to panic and fear the worse. However, for Christ-followers, we have Your unshakeable promises to stand upon. With the promise of You securely hold our future in Your hand, fear is surely to strike out. The enemy, that stinking devil, shouts his lies about doom and gloom, how everything will come crashing down around us. We know better. Our trust certainly is not in government. That is a no-win situation. Our trust is in You, Lord God. A spirit of fear is not from You, since You give Your followers peace, power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). So, with confidence, we speak again in bold faith that Your peace, not fear, will consume us. Fear must bow in surrender before You, Lord. Your promises are trustworthy and remain steadfast, since “governments rise and fall, but Your Word remains forever!” (Matthew 24:35).
Trusting in You, Lord, and none other, so be it, Jesus. Amen.
