Lord, I need Your help on this one. Paul’s message to the Philippians believers easily identifies me today. The more I’m determined to live for You, the more the devil reminds me of past failures, especially those embarrassing spiritual lapses. “I have not taken hold of perfection yet,” Paul wrote. “But one thing I do. I forget those things behind and strain for that which lies ahead” (Philippians 3:12–13). Lord, remind me again I’m not alone in this battle. The struggle is common to all who follow You. Like the Philippians believers, help me forget my past mistakes and strive for what You have for me. Your grace keeps me going. Thank You, Lord, that all Your followers are accepted by Your grace and not by keeping religious rules and regulations. I admit I fall short of Your standards, and I am far from perfect, but I am forgiven, and that reassuring for me.
Believing You have great things ahead of me, Lord, Amen.
