Good morning, Jesus.
Lord, We’re running around like crazy, trying to get everything ready for Christmas. Even with Amazon, the shopping madness gets worse for me every year. Will I remember everyone? I hope decorations inside and outside my house is in place and presentable for my guests. And I pray that crazy uncle behaves himself this year. After all this is over, I’m gonna sleep all weekend. Oh, Lord, give me grace to slow down. Help me keep the holiday season in perspective. In our busyness of the season, we tend to forget the true reason for celebrating Christmas. I need to hear the angel’s message not only at Christmas, but I need the message every day. The angel said, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord” (Luke 2:10-11). May the glory of Your supernatural birth never be diminished but may the story of Christmas point the world to Your salvation. May I always remember how Your miraculous birth changed my life! Your salvation truly makes Christmas Merry.
Thank You, Lord, for Your good news that causes great joy for all the people! You came “to save Your people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). Amen.
