Lord, on this Thanksgiving 2020, for many, uncertainties seems to be the only ‘certainty.’ But in Your grace, You reassure us, “Do not be anxious. Be still and know that I AM God. I AM your ever-present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:10,11). The events of 2020 didn’t catch You by surprise. You have a divine plan and it is unfolding before us. Help us redirect our anxious thoughts toward You to find comfort and hope in Your timeless promises. Our circumstances may or may not change, however, as Your Spirit changes our thoughts, our behaviors change and we find peace, living in the increased Christ-like character You’re developing in us. Help us see Your hand in all this, Lord.
Bless and protect the medical workers. first responders, police and firefighters putting their health in danger ministering to those poor souls stricken with the virus. Give them renewed energy and divine strength to carry on. Help their families understand what they are going through during this pandemic and show us how to support them.
Thankful You are always our ever-present help in times of trouble, Jesus. Amen.
