Lord, in these unsettled times, we need You more than ever. Our nation, and especially Your followers, need a spiritual renewal. We pray You revive us again O Lord. Like the ancient psalmist confessed centuries ago when his world was being turned upside down: “I will pay attention to what God the Lord says. He promises peace to His faithful people when lawlessness rules the land but let not His people join the folly” (Psalm 85:8). Let Your words of truth found in the Bible jump off the pages (or computer screen) to revive us to be the Light of Truth shining brightly in this dark world, and draw people to You, the God of Peace.
Happy 245th Birthday to the United States Marine Corps. Thank you for all you have done to preserve freedom over the centuries. Well done, faithful warriors.
Start a spiritual renewal in each of us, Lord God. Amen.
