Good morning, Jesus.
Lord, when we committed to following You, we chose to submit to Your leading. However, in our humanity, not knowing what’s ahead can be unsettling. In Your character, though, You would never send us out alone, leaving us to figure out where we’re going and what we’re supposed to do. Our faith is assured of this truth: wherever You lead us, You are going before us (Psalm 85:13). At times, You’re silent, just to test our faith. That gets uncomfortable. We faced with a choice: will I stay committed or jump ship when I can’t see Your hand at work? Lord, increase our faith that we may remain faithful and rejoice in all circumstances, simply knowing You are always with us (Philippians 4:4).
Forgive our sins, help us order our lives according to Your precepts and live by Your moral standards. Help us love one another as You love us. Bring peace to our land as we humble ourselves before You.
Jesus, where You lead, I will follow. Amen.
