Good morning, Jesus.
Lord, I’m so grateful for all You’ve done for me. May Your Spirit’s unconditional love in me be evident to all. Help me show people who think their many flaws make them unworthy of coming to You, let alone become one of Your disciples, that You are not mad at them. Nothing could be further from the truth. Who else do You have to work with down here but flawed people? Being a Christ-follower doesn’t magically erase my flaws. I’m still very much aware of my flaws and failures. At times I even act a little haughty, so I hardly see myself as perfect. However, being a Christ-follower makes us perfect in our heavenly Father’s eyes. He sees only Christ’s righteousness all over us as His Spirit is transforming us more into His image. How can He be mad at us for that!
We pray You send an abundance of rain to put out the wildfires raging out in the western states. Be merciful to those poor souls suffering from the devastation, those who have lost everything, who have lost loved ones. May they find You to be all they need to start a new life, that You can restore that which was destroyed.
Bring an end to this violence and anarchy that is plaguing so many cities. May these perpetrators be brought to justice. We pray complete recovery for the two deputies shot point blank for no other reason than being public servants. Lord God, we need You more now than ever. Forgive our sins, heal our souls.
May it be so in Jesus’ name. Amen.
