Lord, my soul lived in constant uncertainty when my relationship with You depended on my performance. I endlessly worked hard at trying to be good, but I always wondered if my performance earned me enough points for salvation. Finally, by Your grace, I discovered Your grace through Jesus. What a change! With a heart of gratitude, my relationship with You changed after I realized Your grace accepts me as I am, warts and flaws all. What a blessing to know my salvation is by Your grace and not my efforts. For those who live in the freedom of Your grace, we’ve entered that “rest” Your Word describes in Hebrews 4:10, “for anyone who enters God’s rest also rest from their works . . .”
Resting in Your grace, Lord. Amen
