Good morning, Jesus.
Lord, as Your followers, we trust You allow negative situations in our lives for a higher purpose: to develop more of Your character in us (Romans 5:2–5). Sudden, unexpected choices thrust upon us reveal our spiritual condition. How do I measure up? Though I may not understand, will I trust You’re working for my good? Will I heed the Holy Spirit’s guidance or throw a tantrum like I used to if I get a little uncomfortable? May my desire be “to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). Lord, even though it may get painful, help me submit to Your working to make me more like You.
May it be that people will see You, Jesus, shining through in me before they “see me.”
In Your image, amen.
