Good morning, Jesus.
Lord, I love thinking about Your promises. Your Word strengthens my resolve to live for You. However, in this broken world, life can throw us a curve unexpectedly. The “father of lies,” Satan, shouts doubts about Your grace, claiming God’s not interested in my problems and You’ve left me on my own to figure it out. Amid the noise, Your Spirit gently reminds me not to fear. You promised, “great peace have those who love Your law [read: promises], and nothing can make them [read: me] stumble” (Psalm 119:165). The peace of Your presence and the truths of Your unchanging promises assure me You will keep me from stumbling. Despite the storm, I can enter into Your ‘rest’ as described in Hebrews 4:10. As faith rises, fear flees.
Resting in Your peace, Jesus. Amen.
