Good morning, Jesus.
Lord God, will this world’s craziness ever quit? I’m not holding my breath. In this fast-paced, fallen world, Lord, it seems like an ‘end-of-the-world’ crisis erupts every minute. No wonder folks are depressed and angry.
Unfortunately, some are your followers who struggle with issues and feel there is no way out of their problems. Use me today, Lord, to speak encouragement to those whose faith is weak, especially for those on the verge of walking away from you (1 Thessalonians 5:11). Help them see their circumstances are not hopeless. The problems and disappointments we encounter here are only temporary. When you bring them through this storm, or that nagging sin is finally conquered, the song in their heart will be renewed. You’re the God of hope. If we have trusted you for our salvation and eternal life, then any issues we have here, you are more than able to work things out for our good. When we’re weak, even if we cling to your promises by our fingertips, you will use these momentary problems to make us stronger.
Use us, Lord, to encourage one another daily, to build up other’s faith. And thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness if I’m on the receiving end of this encouragement.
May we be consistent to encourage our loved ones, family and friends daily. May they know that not only are you always with them, but we’re faithfully doing our part to build them up in their faith. If some friends or family do not know you, use this crisis to open the door to share with them the hope we have within us as we walk through this troubled world. May they see your compassion and be drawn to you.
Thankful you are the God who encourages, Jesus. Amen.
“So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind. I know you’re already doing this; just keep on doing it” —1 Thessalonians 5:11 (MSG)
