Chatting with Jesus

Lord, my wife claims I’m different when I get behind the wheel. That is hard to believe. My eyesight is perfect, my reflexes are sharp, and my depth perception is flawless. I’m courteous to others on the road, giving others plenty of room to navigate the freeways.
Besides hating tailgaters, am I the only one who hates those who speed up to block my entry onto the freeway.
Recently, while attempting to enter the freeway, I noticed the car in the right lane began to accelerate to block my entry. He could have moved over to the open middle lane. Instead, he sped up not to allow my entry. Being one never back down from a challenge. I sped up, but he had more momentum and sped past me, probably giggling like he just won the Daytona 500.
Lord, you heard words we don’t say in Sunday school. I entertained the thoughts of the driver having four flat tires simultaneously. I repented. That driver’s rudeness might have cost five or six seconds of travel time.
A few miles down the road, a NASCAR-like accident unfolded before me. Wrecked cars spun out of control, mangled together like a jigsaw puzzle. As I zigzagged at a near crawl through the debris, I heard you speaking to my heart.
You’re familiar with Romans 8:28, aren’t you? Where I work all things for your good, because you belong to me?
Of course.
I made that driver act rude to not let you in the freeway and keep you out of that accident. Remember, I’ve got your back at all times.
Yes, Lord, may I always remember that’s the kind of Great I AM you are. Amen, Jesus.
